Tania is a Licensed Social Worker and has worked in the social services field for over six years, and most of her work has revolved around supporting victims of violence. Tania holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Dominican University, focusing on providing clinical social work services. Tania was born and raised in Guatemala and brings her bilingual and bicultural experiences into her work with community members and therapy clients. Tania takes an empathetic, compassionate, trauma-informed approach to her work to ensure program participants feel welcome and safe in the therapeutic space. Tania believes the therapist-client relationship should be collaborative, and she is passionate about providing support while also learning from and honoring clients’ lived experiences. Tania is motivated to learn from different clinical modalities and approaches to better serve community members. Tania firmly believes no one should be denied access to quality mental health services, regardless of their ability to pay.
